A Wholesome Delight- Wheat Sweet Appam Recipe

 


Ingredients

  • Coconut
  • Jaggery
  • Cooking Soda
  • Cardamon
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Ghee
  • Wheat Flour
  • Milk
  • Maida

Prerequisites

  1. Grate the coconut.

Recipe

Grinding

Add 1 cup of grated coconut, 1 banana, 1 cup of jaggery, 3 cardamon, and 1 glass of milk to a mixer jar. Grind them well.

Preparing The Flour

Transfer the grinded coconut into another bowl, and add a cup of wheat flour, 3 spoons of maida, and a pinch of cooking soda. Mix them well.

Keep it undisturbed for 30 minutes.

Cooking

Next, add the flour to an Appam vessel, add a spoon of ghee, and 1/2 spoon of sesame seeds, and cook this closed for 10 minutes by keeping the stove on a low flame.

After 10 minutes, twist the Appam and cook for 10 minutes.
