Wheat Kaara Puttu Recipe for Spice Enthusiasts



Ingredients

  • Wheat
  • Carrot
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Ghee
  • Coconut
  • Split Green Gram
  • Salt
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Onion
  • Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Green Chilli
  • Red Chilli

Prerequisite

  1. Cut green and red chilli into small pieces.
  2. Grate carrots and coconut.
  3. Chop the onion.

Recipe

Roasting Wheat

In a tawa, add 300g of wheat and roast them for 10 minutes. Keep the stove in medium flame.

After 10 minutes, the wheat began to crackle. Let it cool.

Steaming Wheat

Add 1/2 spoon of salt and grind the roasted wheat.

To the wheat prepared wheat flour, add 1 glass of water and mix them well.

Next, add the prepared wheat flour to the idli steamer and cook for 10 minutes.

Sauteing Wheat Puttu

To the tawa, add 5 spoons of sunflower oil, and heat it.

Keep the stove in low flame.

Add 1 spoonful of mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them crackle.

Next, add 50g of split green gram and fry them well in oil. Add 1 cup of chopped onion, 2 green chillies, 2 red chillies, a small number of curry leaves, and 1 spoonful of turmeric powder. Saute them in oil until the raw smell gets removed.

Next, add a cup of grated carrots and saute them well.

Add the prepared wheat Puttu, 1 spoon of salt, and 1 cup of grated coconut. Mix them well.

Add some coriander leaves and 3 spoons of ghee at last.
