Prerequisite
- Cut onion, tomato, and brinjal into small pieces.
Recipe
Cooking Horse Gram
In a bowl, take 250g of horse gram and pour 5 glasses of water. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, add 8 red chillies, 1 spoon of coriander seeds, 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds, 3 cloves of garlic, and 3 tomatoes. Cook this for 30 minutes (Keep the stove on medium flame).
After 30 minutes, take out the water from the cooked horse gram and keep it aside, we will use it later.
And grind the horse gram.
Sauteing
In a tawa, add 5 spoons of sesame oil and heat it.
Add 1/2 spoon of mustard seeds, 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds, 2 red chillies, a small number of curry leaves, 1 cup of onion, 1/2 spoon of asafoetida powder, and 1 spoon of turmeric powder. Saute them well.
Add 4 brinjals and saute it in oil. After sauteing, add the grinded horse gram, 1 1/2 spoons of salt, and the water we filtered from horse gram at the time of cooking. And at last, add some coriander leaves.
