Veggie Bliss- Vegetable Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • Rice
  • Carrot
  • Beans
  • Drumstick
  • Red Chilli
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Chana Dal
  • Toor Dal
  • Sambar Masala Powder
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Asafoetida Powder
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Fenugreek Seeds
  • Oil
  • Salt

Prerequisite

  1. Cut all the vegetables into small pieces.
  2. Soak 2 cups of rice, 1/2 cup of chana dal, and 1/2 cup of toor dal in water for 30 minutes.

Recipe

In a cooker, take 5 spoons of sesame oil, add 1 spoon of cumin seeds, 1/2 spoon of mustard seeds, 1/2 spoon of fenugreek seeds, a small number of curry leaves, 2 red chillies, and 2 tomatoes. Saute them in oil.

Add the vegetables (here we add carrot, beans, and drumstick, you may add other vegetables too). Add 1 spoon of sambar masala powder, 1/2 spoon of asafoetida powder, and 1/2 spoon of turmeric powder. Next add 2 cups of rice, 1/2 cup of chana dal, and 1/2 cup toor dal.

Add 4 glasses of water, salt, 3 spoons of ghee, and coriander leaves. Once the water starts to boil. Close the pressure cooker and cook the rice for three whistle sounds.
